What is the difference between the sender address and the reply address?

Automatic notifications, such as out-of-office replies, are sent to the sender address. However, messages composed by recipients using the reply function are delivered to the reply-to address.

Choose a sender address that is professional and clearly associated with your company or persona. Ensure that this address actually exists. Ask yourself: Will my subscribers recognize me by this address? For example: news@companyname.com.

As a sender name, ideally select your company name and, if applicable, an employee’s name, e.g., Mailingwork GmbH | Max Mustermann.

If you do not specify a reply-to address in your mailings, recipient replies will automatically be sent to the sender address.

InfoThe reply-to address and sender address can be configured within the basic settings of your mailing.
