When you create a new email in Mailingwork, you can choose from the following options under Advanced Settings > Type and Format > Type: Standard, Dialog, or Campaign mailings. Select the type that best suits the purpose of your email.
What is a Standard mailing?
A Standard mailing is a traditional newsletter sent once at a specific time. If you want to send a regular newsletter to a defined recipient group (subscriber list), this mailing type is the right choice for you.
What is a Dialog mailing?
In contrast to the Standard mailing, a Dialog mailing is sent automatically after a specific event. Examples include Opt-Ins or Outs via a form from Mailingwork, or when subscribers update their details in a profile manager setup. To enable automatic delivery, you must activate the Dialog mailing under the send tab by clicking the Activate button.
What is a Campaign mailing?
Similar to the Dialog mailing, a Campaign mailing is triggered based on events or conditions. It is primarily used for email campaigns that you set up in the Mailingwork campaign module. It is also well-suited for automatic sending via the web service interface (API), for example, when sending transactional emails. As with the Dialog mailing, you must also activate the Campaign mailing under the send tab by clicking the Activate button to allow for automatic sending.
With these three mailing types, you have the flexibility in Mailingwork to choose the most suitable delivery method for your email communication. Make sure you pick the right type for each scenario, so your recipients receive exactly the information they need, at just the right time.
