What is a double opt-in process?
For the legally compliant delivery of your mailings, the explicit consent of the contact person must be obtained. This consent is provided through the double opt-in process, enabling you to prove that the recipient has authorized the communication. Such proof can be found in your MAILINGWORK account under Subscribers > Opt-ins, provided the registration was done via a MAILINGWORK form.
The double opt-in process consists of several steps:
- An interested party registers their contact details via the registration form.
- After registering, they receive an email with a confirmation link.
- If the interested party does not click the link, they will not be added to the subscriber list.
- Only by clicking the link do they become a subscriber to your newsletter.
