With the help of our form assistant, you can create custom forms for newsletter subscriptions/unsubscriptions or for editing existing profile data. Here are some tips and tricks to quickly and easily adapt the layout of your forms to the corporate identity (CI) of your website.
First, add all the desired subscriber fields to the form. All fields that should appear in a two-column layout need to be clicked on one by one. Set the width for each field in the Edit Element mode, for example, to 50%. This allows you to utilize the available space optimally and create a clear and structured form.
Add the desired subscriber field of the type "Boolean" to your form. By clicking on the field, you enter the Edit Element mode. The checkbox type offers additional labeling options: a general label, a description, and a specific checkbox label. This specific checkbox label appears directly next to the checkbox. Which of these options you use depends on how you wish to display the content within your form.
In the Layout section, you can adjust the fundamental appearance of your form. To place field labels next to the input fields, reduce the label width to a smaller percentage or pixel value in the Edit Element mode. In the preview, you will immediately see how the input fields align side by side with the labels. This can also be combined with a two-column layout. For this, reduce both the label and field width to smaller percentage or pixel values, ensuring that their combined width matches 100%.
In a single "master form", you can link multiple subscription setups. This is particularly useful when you want to offer subscriptions to different newsletters in one form while ensuring a secure and separate double opt-in process for each newsletter.
First, create all necessary subscription setups. Then, go to the setup you want to be your "master setup". Drag the "Linked Opt-In Setups" option from the Element Pool, usually as a multi-select field, into your form.
In the subsequent menu, activate the setups you wish to link by selecting the appropriate checkboxes. Using the Edit Element mode, you can customize the text and labels to match your preferences.
From the Subscriber Lists section in the Element Pool, drag either a single or multiple selection field into your form. In the subsequent menu, activate the lists you want to offer for selection. Customize the element's labels and descriptions using the Edit Element mode.
This is particularly useful if you send newsletters based on separate lists and do not wish to use the target group function. Subscribers can choose one or more lists to join, enabling targeted communication and increasing the relevance of your content.
You can add linked subscription setups or subscriber lists to your form at any time. Click on the element containing the linked setups or lists and, in the Edit Element mode, scroll to the bottom of the Selection Options section and click on "Add More Selection Options". Select the new setup or list you wish to include in the subsequent menu.
Using the Selection Options in the Edit Element mode, you can also rearrange the order of the displayed subscription setups or subscriber lists via drag-and-drop.
