Personalization Assistant

Personalization Assistant

The Personalization Assistant enables the automatic output of different text variants based on the characteristics of your recipients. This function is particularly useful for personalized salutations and other target group-specific text adjustments.

Key features:

  • Creation of different text variants for different target groups
  • Prioritized checking of variants from top to bottom
  • Easy integration into emails and other communication tools
  • Ability to use subscriber field placeholders within the variants
  • Fallback option for recipients who don't match any defined target group

The Personalization Assistant checks which target group each recipient belongs to and outputs only the matching text variant. The check is performed sequentially from top to bottom, with the first matching variant being used. As a best practice, you should place a fallback variant without target group assignment at the very bottom, which applies when no other variant matches.

The classic example for the Personalization Assistant is the personalized salutation: "Dear Mrs. Miller," for female and "Dear Mr. Smith," for male recipients, with "Dear Sir or Madam," as a fallback variant for recipients with incomplete data.

Unlike the more comprehensive "Dynamic Content" function, the Personalization Assistant specializes in single-line text variants and is thus ideal for smaller, frequently used personalizations.
