According to GDPR, every commercial newsletter must contain an easily accessible unsubscribe option, which you provide with a clearly visible unsubscribe link in the footer of your mailings. The recommended mode is Single Opt-Out, where the unsubscription is executed immediately and confirmed by a landing page, without sending further emails.
In the advanced settings, you can specify whether you want to be informed about unsubscriptions via email, forward the unsubscription data to your own systems via HTTP forwarding, or have unsubscribed addresses added to the blacklist in parallel. Particularly important is the configurable anonymization period, after which the data of unsubscribed subscribers is anonymized for data protection reasons.
The unsubscription can be list-specific or across lists. With the unsubscribe link in the newsletter, in addition to the lists specified in the setup, the addressed lists are also considered.
