If you are unable to edit an email in MAILINGWORK, this is usually because it is currently active and being sent automatically as a dialog or campaign mailing. Active emails are protected against accidental changes. To make adjustments, the email must first be deactivated. You can reactivate it again at any time afterwards.
How do I proceed if I want to edit the email?
1. Open the desired email in MAILINGWORK for editing.
2. Navigate to the Send tab within the email. There you will find a button labelled "Deactivate".
3. Deactivate the email in the Send tab. Once the email is deactivated, the editing lock is removed and you can make changes.
4. Now make all desired changes to the email, for example adjustments to the content, subject line or sending settings.
5. Once you have completed all changes, navigate back to the Send tab and reactivate the email using the button of the same name, so that it is sent again as scheduled.
Important Note
Do not forget to reactivate the email after making your changes. As long as the email is deactivated, it will not be sent – even if a scheduled sending time has already been set. Make sure that the email has the status active again after editing.
