My e-mail is marked as phishing by a recipient. What can I do?
Security software on the recipient's side scans all incoming emails for fraudulent links. Spammers often attempt to link to their phishing pages using the text of a trusted link. A phishing warning is triggered when the link text and the underlying URL to the website do not match.
A common example is when the visible link text shows the original address, but the invisible link target redirects to a fake website.
Including a recognizable URL (with the leading http://
) in the text of the newsletter can cause phishing filters to classify it as a fraud attempt. To prevent incorrect classification as phishing, you can use the following approach:
Instead of “Find the offer here: http://www.company.de,” use trusted domains like “Find the offer here: www.company.de” or better yet, simply “Find the offer here.”
