Contact Frequency

Contact Frequency

The Contact Frequency function allows you to control the communication frequency with your subscribers to avoid oversaturation and increase the relevance of your messages.

Key features:

  • Setting a maximum number of contacts per time period
  • Definition of a minimum time interval between contacts
  • Channel-specific or cross-channel rule application possible
  • Individual exceptions for certain recipients or mailings
  • Separate configuration for email, SMS, and postcards

With Contact Frequency, you can determine how often your subscribers may be contacted within a specific time period and what minimum interval should exist between consecutive messages. If a mailing is planned for a subscriber that would violate the defined rules, this subscriber is automatically excluded from the sending.

The settings can be defined globally for the entire account, with separate rules for each communication channel (email, SMS, postcards). You have the choice of whether the minimum time interval should be observed only within the same channel or across channels.

Particularly practical is the ability to exempt certain mailings from the check. This ensures that important messages such as order confirmations or password reset emails are delivered in any case, regardless of the general frequency rules.

The contact frequency check is performed per subscriber ID, not per email address. For complete control of communication frequency with identical email addresses, you should therefore regularly perform a duplicate check.
